Which Features Make a Lipstick Taser Unique?

A lipstick taser is a small device that has been designed to look like a tube of lipstick, which can be used to render someone unconscious or even kill them. This taser is also known as an electric stun gun, and they are typically designed as a non-lethal means to stop an assailant. It delivers electric current at 300V to 500V through the target’s body using two metal electrodes positioned at opposite ends of the weapon.

When one trigger is pressed, it will send electricity across both electrodes equally and quickly deplete their charge. They will lose power in seconds, meaning that the assailant cannot inflict any long-term damage. Upon using this gun the attacker has to re-apply to the target's body which can be dangerous if they are in the midst of an attack.

As the charge is depleted, these Tasers do not function and can no longer be used to shock their victims. These weapons typically come with two different types of taser devices: The most common is seen in black and orange—and works by means of an electric current sent through one set of electrodes, then arcing back through a second set, producing a constant voltage (known as "zapping"). This can cause temporary paralysis or unconsciousness.

Features of Lipstick Taser:

A lipstick taser is a device that functions like (and looks like) ordinary lipstick with a modified electrode. It shoots electricity from the electrode to stun and temporarily disable attackers. Although it is not widely available, these devices are legal in most states and possess many desirable attributes.

If you're interested in self-defense, but don't want to carry around a bulky weapon or experience the debilitating anxiety of pepper spray, check out this list of features and design aspects for these tasers!

1) A Sturdy Casing:

While compact enough to fit in your purse or jacket pocket, lipsticks can still be subject to accidental damage such as cracks or dents if mishandled. This taser casing, however, is built with a steel frame to endure accidental drops or blows. It is also covered in rubber so that it cannot easily be crushed.

2)  Rechargeable Batteries:

Just like with cell phones, extra batteries are always nice to have. They eliminate the need to carry around an extra battery for your stun gun.

3) Rechargeable:

Although most lipsticks are cordless and only work indoors, lipstick can still run out of charge. For a lipstick taser, this isn't an issue. You can plug in the device to recharge it and fire off as many shots as you need to incapacitate a would-be attacker.

4) A Safety Switch:

The ability to fire a stun gun anywhere is great, but if the stun gun isn't off when it's in your pocket or purse, you're leaving yourself open for accidental discharges. A stun gun must have a safety switch, which keeps it from firing unless you actually want it to.

5) An LED Flashlight:

For self-defense purposes, you're likely to be out in dark alleys late at night when an attack occurs. A flashlight on the back of the device is there to provide you with as much light as possible so that you can locate potential attackers and subdue them quickly.

6) A Loud Alarm:

Although not directly related to self-defense, a loud enough noise can attract attention and alert people in the area of your attack. This is an important consideration because an attacker may try to determine if police are in the area before attacking you. (By using a lipstick taser, this will be much more difficult.  Not only will you be prepared, but people in the immediate area may also be alerted.)

7) A Red Laser Sight:

In the dark of night, it can be difficult to aim at an attacker's face. With a red laser sight, you'll be able to determine exactly where your stun gun will hit so that you don't miss and injure yourself. The red laser is a unique feature that not many stun guns offer.

8) Wall Mountable:

Depending on where you are when an attacker strikes, you may not have time to retrieve your weapon from a purse or pocket. (An unexpected blow from behind is one example. A female would face a greater disadvantage.) A wall mount on the back of your lipstick taser will enable you to quickly extend the stun gun and fire any time you feel threatened.

9) Loud Sound:

Whether it is an increase in voltage that causes a loud noise or it is just an added bonus, a loud sound will alert people in the area of your attack. Some people may be alerted by the noise, while others may be deterred from attacking you because they think someone might call the police.

10) Long Range:

Although you should never depend on the stun gun alone when confronted by an attacker, it is a great tool to use in conjunction with other self-defense techniques. The fact that you can fire off a 10-foot distance means that if you are cornered or feel like you are being attacked from behind, you can pull out your stun gun and subdue the attacker while they are far enough away that they can't reach or punch you.

It's also extremely important to know whether or not the stun gun will work at long range, meaning that if there is nothing between you and your attacker, a long-distance shot will incapacitate them.

Is It Safe to Use a Lipstick Taser?

One way to get rid of unwanted pests is by applying a makeshift lipstick taser to them. But, there are important safety considerations that should be made before using this technique. It is imperative not to shock yourself or anyone else with your taser; it could result in serious injury or death. Here are some of these safety tips:

1. Make sure the taser can withstand the electric current contained within your lipstick. Some lipsticks have an incredibly high voltage, which could result in serious injury if applied to any part of the body.

2. Make sure your lipstick is not easily accessible during any type of work or leisure activity, such as applying makeup. This is especially important if you are applying it to yourself; a misplaced taser could easily be used to inflict serious harm on a stranger, colleague or child.

3. Do not use this taser in a public place such as a restroom because it is difficult to keep it hidden from people who enter that area of the building and because other people may use it against you at will.
